Patient Denture Information
If you’ve decided to proceed with dentures, the process involves several key steps to ensure the best fit and function:
Denture Fabrication Process
🦷 Impressions – Molds of your jaws are taken to create a precise fit.
🦷 Jaw Relations – A wax-based denture base helps determine your bite level.
🦷 Try-in – Teeth are set in wax to check aesthetics and speech. This step may require multiple visits. All changes must be made at this stage, as adjustments after delivery may incur additional costs.
🦷 Delivery of Dentures – Your final dentures are provided for daily use.
🦷 Adjustment Appointments – Included at no charge for up to 30 days. Patients are typically seen weekly for 3-4 weeks; after this period, additional fees may apply.
Immediate Dentures
For those requiring immediate dentures, which are placed on the same day as extractions, additional costs may arise due to tissue and jaw changes during healing. These may include:
🦷 Coe-Soft Liners – May be necessary as early as two weeks post-surgery.
🦷 Permanent Reline – A lab reline of the denture base, typically done six months after surgery.
🦷 Denture Remake – In rare cases, significant changes during healing may require a full remake.
Please Note: Immediate dentures involve a level of guesswork since no try-in appointment is possible before placement.
