Invisalign

Many adults and teens would like to straighten their teeth, but without obvious brackets and wires. That is why we offer Invisalign, the clear alternative to straighter teeth. Invisalign helps patients improve their appearance and improves patients' overall oral health. Teeth that are in a more ideal location are easier to keep clean and function to chew better without causing damage. For more information and before and after pictures, please check out the invisalign website at www.invisalgin.com.

Laser Dentistry

Our office offers you a new age of pain-free dentistry with our Opus Dent Lasers. The days of shots, noisy drills and long visits are gone.

Lasers deliver energy in the form of light. This energy travels at different wavelengths and is absorbed by enamel, decay or gum tissue. We have 3 lasers in our office offering hard tissue treatment and soft tissue treatment. There is little or no sound associated with laser treatment.

Dental lasers have been shown to be safe and effective for treating both children and adults. We are very excited with our new laser technology as less than 1% of U.S. dentists offer these lasers to their patients.

We look to the future with great excitement as this laser technology in dentistry expands to offer many more procedures to our patients.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Veneers are very thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory.  They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a beautiful and attractive smile.

Porcelain Veneer Procedure: Porcelain (indirect) veneers are a very thin porcelain material. Usually porcelain veneers require two visits and also require a dental laboratory to create the final tooth restoration piece.

Composite Veneer Procedure: Composite (direct) veneers are usually performed in a single visit to your dentist. The procedure is an application of a bond and plastic or "tooth-colored" material directly to the tooth's surface.

Mouth Guards

Occlusal Night Guards prevent further damage to the temporomandibular joint (tmj) and your teeth.  This is a noninvasive alternative to stop the daily abuse.  Symptoms of tmj disorder include:

- Joint popping or clicking

- Chronic headaches

- Facial muscle fatigue

- Ear pain or ringing

- Limited opening

- Sore teeth

Sports Mouth Guards will protect your child if he or she is struck or falls on the face, chin or head. These injuries can cause damage to the soft tissue (lips, tongue, cheeks or gums) or the hard tissue (teeth and bones). Teeth may be knocked out, displaced or fractured. This is also a risk of internal nerve damage.

Laboratory fabricated (or custom made) mouth guards are your best choice because they are CUSTOM FIT TO YOU and evaluated by a dentist!

Zoom2 Whitening

Have you ever seen people with great smiles and asked yourself, "Why can't I have teeth as white as theirs?" Now you can!

Our office offers Zoom 2 in-office Tooth Whitening System. With this system, we can make your teeth several shades whiter and brighter. The Zoom 2 uses a full mouth bleaching light combined with a 25% Hydrogen Peroxide light activated gel. The Zoom 2 light aids in activating the hydrogen peroxide and helps it penetrate the surface of the tooth.

With your new brighter smile you will take home: post whitening care instructions, individualized laboratory fabricated whitening trays with tray case, one package of Zoom touch-up gel, and a 4-ounce tube of BreathRx toothpaste (a Zoom product).

Call our office NOW for a "no-charge" smile evaluation.

White Composite Restorative Fillings

White "Tooth-Colored" Restorative Fillings are used by our dentists. This resin material used is a plastic with small "filler" particles of glass-like material - the finest and most up to date material available today. These restorations will serve you well for several years.

Teeth that have been restored with resin material can be chewed on immediately; this material is cured and hardened before you leave our office. Avoid chewing excessively hard foods on the restored teeth (hard candy, ice, popcorn kernels, etc.) because extreme force can cause the material to be broken from the tooth - just as it can in a natural tooth.

Root Canal Therapy

A root canal is performed to save a tooth and your smile.  Most of the time, a root canal is a relatively simple procedure with little or no discomfort involving one to three visits.   After the dentist removes the pulp, the root canal is cleaned and sealed off to protect it. Then your dentist places a crown over the tooth to help make it stronger.

Symptoms include:

- Moderate to severe lingering toothache pain when drinking hot or cold liquids or foods.

- Moderate to severe pain when biting on a tooth

- Sensitivity to tapping or pressure on the tooth

- Toothache that wakes you up in the middle of the night

- A pimple on your gum that may release pus or blood

- Radiating pain from one area of the mouth to another

A pulpotomy is completed on a child’s tooth when it is severely infected or has a great deal of decay in an attempt to save the “baby” tooth.  Children’s teeth not only function to chew, but to hold the space for their permanent teeth in the future.  Following a pulpotomy, a restoration or “filling” is necessary and in some cases a stainless steel crown may be used as well.
